Dog Friendly Parks in White Rock and South Surrey

It’s no secret that pets help make a house feel like home. (Mind you, don’t ask me this right after a piece of furniture has been chewed or scratched!).

One of our favourite things to do with our dog Ben is to explore the amazing parks and trails in our community. With the new initiative from the City of White Rock that allows dogs on the promenade (October 1 - March 31) and the abundance of dog-friendly parks and trails, there is no shortage of spots to get out and enjoy some fresh air and exercise.

Here's a list of my favourite dog-friendly parks and trails in South Surrey and White Rock:

• East Beach (Access across from the Ocean Promenade Hotel or behind the WAG)

• The Promenade! (Only during off season Oct 1 - Mar 31)

• Ruth Johnson Park

• Centennial off-leash dog park

• Wills Brook off-leash dog park

• Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest
